What is Hundeakte?
Hundeakte is a digital dog diary for iPhone and Android. You record your dog's walks, vaccinations, weight, food, digestion and wounds and get a ready-made PDF for the vet visit out of it.
Do I need an account?
No. Add your dog and start. An account is only needed for backup and sync across devices.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. Your data lives on your device. Without a connection you only lose map tiles, sync, weather detection and the vet link.
Where is my data stored?
Locally on your device first. No tracking, no ads, no account you did not ask for. If you use backup or sync, contents are end-to-end encrypted before upload. The key stays on your devices. You pass it on by QR code or back it up encrypted with a passphrase only you know. The server only ever sees unreadable data.
What if my phone is lost?
Without Pro your data lives only on the device. You can create and keep the vet PDF at any time, but the free version has no transfer to a new device. With Pro you back up your keys in sync with a passphrase or a recovery key and use it to bring everything back onto a new device. Without the passphrase or key nobody can read it, not even me.
Can my partner use it too?
Yes, with Hundeakte Pro. You show a one-time QR invitation, the other person scans it in their app and sees the same dog. The data stays end-to-end encrypted.
How does vet access work?
You create a share key in the app as a QR code or link. The vet opens your record in the browser with it, read-only and for a limited time. The content is encrypted, the key sits in the link and never reaches the server. Vet access is part of Hundeakte Pro.
Can I get my data out again?
Yes, as a PDF for the vet. The PDF also carries the data in machine-readable form. There is no separate data export yet.
Which devices does Hundeakte run on?
iPhone and iPad, plus Android phones and tablets. With Apple Watch and Wear OS you start and stop a walk right from your wrist.
How much does Hundeakte cost?
The base version is free and complete: one dog, all walk and health features, the vet PDF, first aid, smartwatch, Live Activity and up to three documents. Hundeakte Pro is expected to cost €1.99 per month, €14.99 per year or €44.99 once as Lifetime with 1 GB of sync storage. The final price is shown in the store.

One dog is free, several dogs are part of Hundeakte Pro.
When is it out?
The iPhone beta is running on TestFlight, Android follows. Leave your email above and I will send you the beta access and a note at the store launch.
